IMPORTANT SUMMER JOB INFORMATION

The Warm Springs Cabana Club will soon have applications available to those interested in summer job opportunities as a lifeguard, swim instructor, or MSA for the 2010 swim season. Applications will be available on-line or a limited number available to pick up at the Cabana Club beginning February 1^st. Upon completion of the application, it should be returned to the club at 251 Goldenrain Ave. before February 13th at 5pm. Interviews will take place beginning February 15^th. Past employees are required to apply if they are interested in returning for 2010.

The age requirement for MSA is 14. Lifeguards must be at least 15 years of age and have successfully completed an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course prior to pool opening. Swim Instructors must be at least 15 years of age and have CPR/First Aid certification by start of lessons. There are training courses offered through Happy Fish Swim School in December and April. Pool Manager

WSCC is currently looking for a pool manager for the 2010 Swim Season. This is a seasonal job running from February through September with the bulk of the hours in June, July, and August. Applicants should be organized and enjoy working with young people. Contact Cherie Fontes at 510-490-6236 for more information.

Swim Instructors

WSCC will have applications available on-line for swim instructors in mid January.  Applicants must be 15 years of age and have current CPR/First Aid certification. Swim Instructor training is provided by the Cabana Club, however there is a class offered by Happy Fish in December that comes highly recommended by a previous instructor. This class (Water Safety Instructor Class) would be at the applicant’s own expense and is not a guarantee that the applicant will be hired. Lifeguard

WSCC will have applications available on-line for lifeguards in mid January. Applicants must be 15 years of age and have passed a Lifeguard training course. Happy Fish has a class in December and again during spring break. WSCC does not pay for this class and passing the class is not a guarantee that the applicant will be hired. MSA (Member Service Attendant)

WSCC will have applications available on-line for MSAs in mid January. Minimum age requirement for this position is 14 years old. Requirements include good math skills and ability to work a variety of shifts.
